2. Put the plug into the power outlet. The orange light will light up.
3. Always preheat with the lid closed. The green 'ready for use' light will light up
when the appliance is preheated. This takes about 3 to 4 minutes.
MAKING TOAST SANDWICHES:
1. Open the lid and place the sandwich on the bottom baking
plate.
2. Close the lid and lock with the safety clip.
3. Caution: a sandwich with too many fillings may cause the lid
not to close.
4. During baking the green light will go on and off regularly, to
indicate that the heating elements are maintaining the right temperature. Keep the
lid closed during baking.
5. The sandwich will be ready in about 4 to 5 minutes (or longer, also depends on
personal flavour). Unlock the safety clip, open the lid and remove the sandwich
using a wooden kitchen utensil (for example a spatula). Never use metal utensils
as they may damage the non-stick coating.
6. Close the lid to preserve the heat until you are done making sandwiches. You can
prepare the next sandwich while the first ones are baking.
7. Unplug the appliance after use.
Tips for the best result:
• Always preheat before use. Plug in the appliance while you are preparing the
sandwiches.
• You can use fillings like lettuce, parsley, mint, watercrest, stuffed olives, onion or
tomato.
• Sprinkle a little bit of sugar on the sandwiches to make them more crisp, especial-
ly if a fruit filling is used.

BAKING WAFFLES:
