b) Assembly
• The surveillance camera is suitable for outdoor use (IP44). We recommend installing the surveillance
camera, e.g., below a roof protrusion. This way, you can avoid that, e.g., rain drops on the camera lens
will cause the image to be useless.
• During installation of the surveillance camera, observe the applicable legal provisions of your country or
residence.
• The surveillance camera can be screwed, e.g., to a wall or a beam of a
carport via the U-shaped assembly bracket. Use suitable screws and do-
wels for the surface.
For easier attachment of the assembly bracket, you can disconnect
it from the surveillance camera.
The surveillance camera must be installed so that the housing with
the camera and the motion detector points down; see figure on the
right.
When drilling and screwing on, ensure that no cables or lines are
damaged.
c) Inserting Luminaire
• Loosen the screw (2) on the top so that the front cover (3) can be folded open.
• Use a suitable luminaire (socket type R7S, e.g. a halogen rod) with a maximum output of 500 W into the
lamp socket.
If a halogen rod is used as a luminaire, never touch it with bare hands. Traces of grease on the
fingers may cause material changes of the halogen rod glass due to the great heat.
This material change may cause the luminaire to burst.
• Close the front cover again and tighten the screw (2) loosened at first. Ensure that the front cover fits
tightly so that no moisture can ingress.
d) Connection
• Connect the three single wires of the connection cable of the surveillance camera to the mains supply
(brown cable = L/phase, blue cable = N/neutral conductor, yellow/green cable = PE/protective ground).
You will need a suitable connection box and the corresponding connection terminals for connection
(not enclosed). If the connection is established outdoors, the connection box must be suitable for use
outdoors (at least IP44).
• Protect the cable from sharp edges; if required, use a cable chute or installation/cable protection
pipes.
