5. Safety Information

The guarantee/warranty will expire if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance with
these operating instructions. We do not assume any liability for consequential damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper
use or failure to observe the safety information. The warranty/guarantee will expire in such
cases!
Attention!
The product must only be installed by a qualified electrical specialist (e.g. electrician) who is
familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE)!
Improper work at the mains voltage endangers not only yourself, but also others!
If you do not have the expertise required for installation, do not install the device yourself but
ask a specialist.
a) General Information
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is prohibited for safety and
approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children! There is the risk of
potentially fatal shock! Install the product so that it cannot be reached by children.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect the product
immediately (turn out associated fuse or deactivate circuit breaker, deactivate associated FI
protection switch) and secure it against inadvertent operation. Then have the product inspec-
ted by a specialist.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the product is visibly damaged (e.g. broken protective glass)
- the product does not work or not work properly (flickering light, smoke or burnt smell, audible
crackling, discolouration of the product or adjacent surfaces)
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions
- if it was subjected to heavy stress during transport
• Never point the water jet of a garden hose or a high-pressure cleaner or similar at the pro-
duct!
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's Liability Ins-
urance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are to be observed.
• Do not leave the packaging material lying around carelessly as it can become a dangerous toy
for children.
