3. Explanation of Symbols

The symbol with a lightning bolt in a triangle is used where there is a health hazard, e.g. from
electric shock.
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important notes in these operating instructions that
must be strictly observed.
The „arrow" symbol indicates that special advice and notes on operation are provided here.
Maintain a minimum distance between the light exit opening and lit areas (e.g. easily

flammable objects). The respective valid minimum distance is indicated on the product
(in the example image on the left, the minimum distance is 1 m).
A defective safety glass must be replaced at once; the product must not be operated
with a defective safety glass.
IP44 The product is suitable for outdoor use.

4. Intended Use

The product is used for surveillance or lighting of house entrances, yard entrances, etc. The PIR motion
detector activates a lamp (matching luminaire is not enclosed, can be ordered separately) if a heat change
is recognised in the recording area.
As a special feature, a camera is installed. Videos of pictures (can be switched) will be recorded onto a
SD-/SDHC memory card (not enclosed, can be ordered separately).
The safety notes and all other information in these operating instructions always have to be observed.
Please note that you incur a penalty if you observe strangers with the camera installed in the product
without their knowledge and consent. Observe the provisions and regulations of the country in which you
use this product.
Any use other than that described above can damage the product and may involve additional risks such as
short circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of this product must be modified or converted!
