6. First use
6.1. Attaching the cleaning brushes
Before first use, the supplied brushes must be attached.
The brushes can be installed and removed without any need for tools.
Press both of the brushes marked with L and R onto the brackets until they click
into place. Make sure during this process that they match the L and R markings
on the device.
6.2. Inserting and removing the battery block
CAUTION!
Before removing or installing the battery block, ensure
that the device is switched off and disconnected from the
mains.
Press down on the two ribbed
pressure points on the battery
compartment lid and remove it by
pulling it backwards.
Place the battery block with the
poles facing downwards onto the
springs. Make sure during this
process than the polarity mark-
ings on the battery block match
the markings in the battery com-
partment.
In order to remove the battery
block, pull on the flap attached to
the battery block.
Push the battery compartment
cover back onto the housing until
it audibly clicks into place.
6.3. Charging the battery block
This vacuum cleaner is supplied with a nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) rechargeable
battery. After unpacking the device, firstly charge the battery block for approx. 4
hours. This benefits the performance of the battery block in the long run. The bat-
tery block should be charged again at the latest when the LED ring lights up red.
You can use the supplied mains adapter to recharge your vacuum cleaner; simply
follow the procedure described below:
