LOADING/UNLOADING WEIGHTS
There are also TUSA BCJs equipped with a weight loading
system. Loading the weights into the weight loading system will
achieve the optimum balance in the water. Load the weights as
shown below.
The photos are for reference only. When loading weights, do
so only after attaching the BCJ onto the tank. If you attempt
to load the weights beforehand, it may be difficult to attach the
tank due to the heavier load.
WARNING:
• To control your ascent when releasing the weight cartridges,
release one side at a time. Often, it may not be necessary to
release both weights to ascend safely.
• The release handles are difficult to see while diving , so it
is important that you practice and become familiar with the
location and shape of the weight release handle prior to
each dive.
• Always notify your diving instructor or diving buddy that you
are using a BCJ with a weight loading system.

[LOADING THE WEIGHTS]
Securely hold the weight release knobs at the bottom of the
pockets on the left and right of the main unit.
Turn the knobs clockwise or counterclockwise to release the
safety lock, and allow the weight cartridges to be pulled out
from the mounting holder. [Fig. 16] Place the required amount
of weight in the weight cartridge (up to 4 kg (8 lb.) can be
loaded on each side) and securely close the hook and loop
fastener. [Fig. 17] Insert the weight cartridge into the mounting
holder. After securely inserting the weight cartridge up to the
back of the mounting holder, close the holder by snapping the
buckle of the cover section shut on the mounting holder.
* Do not place any objects on the weight release knob.
Otherwise this may cause the buckle to slip, allowing the
weights to fall out.
[RELEASING THE WEIGHTS]
Firmly grasp the weight release knob. Turn the knob clockwise
or counterclockwise to release the safety lock on the cartridge
mounting holder and pull out the weight cartridge. Pull the
knob out further to fully release the weight cartridge. [Fig. 16]

[LOADING THE WEIGHTS]
Firmly grasp the weight release knobs located under the unit's
right and left pockets. Pulling the knob will release the safety
lock. The weight cartridge is designed to catch a little for safety
reasons, but continue to pull it out of the holder. [Fig. 16] Place
the required amount of weight in the weight cartridge (up to
4 kg (8 lb.) can be loaded on each side.) After inserting the
weight, securely close the hook and loop fastener. [Fig. 17]
After putting on the BCJ, insert the weight cartridge holders. Be
sure to insert the cartridges. Having your diving buddy help will
make it easier to insert the weights. Close the weight holder's
cover buckle until it locks closed.
Finally, lock the safety lock lever to finish inserting the weights.
[Fig. 18]
[RELEASING THE WEIGHTS]
Firmly grasp the weight release knob. Pull the knob strongly
to unlock the safety lock lever. Continue to pull it to release
the main buckle. Pull the knob further and remove the weight
cartridge. [Fig. 16]
* It is difficult to check the weight release knob while diving, so
be sure to memorize the position and shape of the knob by
feel.

[LOADING THE WEIGHTS]
* The hook and loop fastener is designed to be strong enough
to be used underwater. Therefore, you will encounter strong
resistance when setting it out of the water. Be careful not to
let the hooked side of the fastener come into contact with any
other material as it may damage it.
Remove the hook and loop fasteners on the cartridge closure
covers, which are on the top of the right and left pockets. Pull
out the weight cartridge from the mounting holder. [Fig. 16]
Peel off the closure cover of the weight cartridge. Insert as
many weights as needed into the weight cartridges (up to 4
kg (8 lb) can be inserted into each cartridge.) After inserting
the weights, firmly close the cover. [Fig. 17] Hold the cartridge
mounting holder open with one hand and insert the weight
cartridge. Push the weight cartridge all the way in, then fasten
the hook and loop fastener on the cartridge closure cover.
Finally, close the cartridge closure cover completely.
[RELEASING THE WEIGHTS]
Securely grasp the weight release knob. When the knob is
pulled forcefully, the hook and loop fastener of the cartridge
closure cover will unfasten. Pull on the knob further and pull out
the weight cartridge. [Fig. 16]
* It is difficult to check the weight release knob while diving,
so be sure to memorize the position and shape of the knob
by feel.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS BY PRODUCT
Non-Releasable Extra Pockets
(ex. BCJ-2100, BCJ-1800, BCJ-8000, BC0601)
On the back of BCJ with weight loading systems are extra
pockets located on both sides at the bottom. It is not possible
to release the weights from these pockets in an emergency
yourself. Prioritize loading the main cartridges, and only use
the service pockets as a reserve. (1 kg (2 lb.) can be loaded
into each pocket) [Fig. 19]
WARNING: With the BCJ deflated completely, and no
additional weights attached, the amount of weight in the non-
releasable weight pockets MUST not cause you to sink from
the surface of the water.
ALWAYS consult with your dive instructor on the use of the
non-releasable pockets for additional weights.
ALWAYS notify your divemaster and dive buddy on the use of
your non-releasable pockets.
Removable Rear Trim Pockets (BCJ-8000)
There are weight trim pockets with hook and loop fastenings
that can be removed located on both sides of the back of the
BCJ-8000, at the bottom. [Fig. 19] In an emergency it is not
possible to remove weight from these pockets by yourself.
You should always prioritize the main cartridges when loading
weights and only use these pockets as spares (it is possible to
load up to 1 kg (2.2 lb.) in each pocket).
It is also possible to remove these weight pockets and attach
them to a tank belt. [Fig. 20] You can also attach them
to a D-ring or other attachment points on the shoulder
section for use as accessory pockets.
