4.1 Cleaning the cyclone

ATTENTION:
The cyclone unit should not come into contact with water under any circumstances. Otherwise
adhering dirt particles will clog the cyclone unit.

4.2 Cleaning the housing

1. Switch the appliance off and follow the instructions
specified under Zchapter 3.3, "Switching off the appli-
ance and retracting the power cord".
2. Remove and empty the dust container, Zchapter 3.5,

"Emptying and cleaning the dust container".
3. Hold the dust container firmly with one hand and re-
lease the cyclone unit with the other hand by turning on
the handle counter-clockwise (Fig. 24/arrow). The
placement mark will change position as shown
(Fig. 24/a b).
4. Remove the cyclone unit from the dust container.
5. Remove all residual dust possibly adhering to the dust
container. Use only a dry cloth to do this, or, if neces-
sary, a dry brush with soft bristles, for example the pro-
vided furniture brush.
6. Put the cyclone unit back onto the dust container so that
the placement marks are opposite each other as
shown. (Fig. 25/a).

7. Join the two parts by turning clockwise (Fig. 25/arrow).
The placement mark will change position as shown
(Fig. 25/a b).
8. Take this opportunity to check the motor protection filter
as well (Zchapter 4.4, "Cleaning the motor protection
filter").
9. Press the dust container firmly into its mounting bracket
until it audibly snaps into place.
10. Ensure that the dust container is securely fitted.
WARNING:
Danger of injury! Before you clean the appliance, switch
off the appliance and unplug the mains plug, Zchapter
3.3, "Switching off the appliance and retracting the power
cord".
ATTENTION:
Do not use cleaning or scouring agents or alcohol, as
these might damage the appliance's housing.
Only clean the outside of the housing using a slightly
damp cloth.
