3.5 Emptying and clean-
ing the dust container

Empty the dust container regularly, preferably after
each use.
Empty the dust container at the latest when the accu-
mulated dirt in the dust container has reached the
"MAX" mark (Fig. 20/1).

1. Switch the appliance off and follow the instructions
specified under Zchapter 3.3, "Switching off the appli-
ance and retracting the power cord".
2. Release the dust container by pressing down the re-
lease button as shown (Fig. 21/a).
3. Pull the dust container up and out of its holder
(Fig. 21/B).
NOTE:
Be careful when removing the dust container; ensure that
no dust can escape.

NOTE:
You can dispose of the contents of the dust container
with your regular domestic trash if it contains no waste
materials prohibited in domestic trash.
4. When emptying the dust container, hold it low over a
dustbin.
5. Push the release button (Fig. 22/1).
The bottom plate (Fig. 22/2) opens and the dust drops

into the dustbin.
6. Remove all residual dust possibly adhering to the dust
container.
Use only a dry cloth to do this, or, if necessary, a dry
brush with soft bristles, for example the provided furni-
ture brush.
7. Close the bottom plate.
8. Place the dust container onto the vacuum cleaner.
Press the dust container firmly into its mounting bracket
(Fig. 23), until it audibly snaps into place.
9. Ensure that the dust container is securely fitted.
NOTE:
It might be necessary to push a bit harder. To make it eas-
ier, keep the release button pressed down when inserting
the dust container.
