2.3 Safety at work

a) The entire work area needs to be clean and well-lit. Disorder and/or a not brightly lit workplace can cause
serious injuries.
b) Do not use the power tool in a dangerous workplace containing combustible or explosive materials
(flammable liquids, gases or dust). Due to fact that the power tool produces sparks during work it may be the
cause for ignition.
c) Keep children and third parties away from work area.
2.4 Power tool handling and operation
a) Please do not overload the device! Only use suitable setting tools when operating the power tool.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch is broken. Usage of such device is dangerous and needs to be
repaired first.
c) Always pull out the plug from the power outlet when changing accessories, making any adjustments or after
work. This precautionary measure prevents the unintentional start of the power tool.
d) Store idle equipment out of the reach of children. Do not let people who are not familiar with the device
operate the power tool.
e) Perform regular maintenance of power tool. It is recommended to check regularly the moving parts of the
tool (whether they are blocked, cracked or show signs of any other damage that may cause unsafe use of
the power tool). In that case all affected parts must be replaced. Improper maintenance of power tools is a
common cause of accidents.
f) The use of power tools, gears, accessories, etc., must be in accordance with these guidelines and instructions.
The user must keep in mind the conditions under which the work takes place and the nature of the job. Using
this tool for purposes other than stated above can result in serious work accidents.
2.5 Service / Repair
In order to ensure safe use of this power tool, any repairs should be entrusted only to a qualified technician. This will
ensure the use of original spare parts.
3. DETAILED RULES OF SAFETY
The power tool must be held by the isolated handles. In some situations, the power cord may be damaged by the sanding
disc / sanding belt, this may lead to cases when the metal parts of the power tools will be under voltage. This is very
dangerous while the operator may get an electric shock. When sanding metal, electric sparks may occur. During work
please ensure that nobody is in the danger area. Due to the danger of fire, all combustible and flammable materials should
be removed from the workplace.
Regularly clean the power tool by blowing compressed air through the ventilation slots. Rotating motor draws dust into
the interior of the power tool, and an accumulation of metal dust may cause an electric shock hazard. There are some
factors that may be a threat to health:
dust coatings containing lead
dust of certain species of wood / minerals (oak and beech dust in conjunction with substances for woodwor-
king are carcinogenic)
certain types of metal powders
Avoid physical contact with all environmental impacts mentioned above as inhalation of the dust may cause allergies or
respiratory disease.
Asbestos and materials containing asbestos can be handled only by persons trained in this field.
If it is possible, the dust extraction devices should be used.
The work place must be well ventilated.
The use of a dust mask of filter class P2 is recommended.
National requirements for the treatment materials you want to work with must be followed.
Processed material should be securely and properly fastened. Do not hold the workpiece in hands - it is safer to secure
the item in the mounting bracket / vise.
The power tool should always be guided with both hands holding the appropriate handles. Loss of control of the power
tool may result in personal injury.
Hands must be kept away from rotating parts and grinding disc / sanding belt of the power tool. Removing dust from
sanding can be performed only if the device is switched off and disconnected from the power source.
Before any activities related to the adjustment, disc / belt replacement, servicing, unplug the power cord from the power
outlet.

Pipe Polisher MSW – POL900L / Pipe Polisher MSW – POL900S:
The rated speed of the sanding belt must be at least equal to the belt speed in idling marked on the power tool. A sanding
belt running faster than its rated speed can break and fall apart. Check prior to each use that the sanding belt is correctly
attached and is completely on the rollers.
Carry out a trial run: Allow the machine to run at idling speed for 30 seconds in a safe location. Stop immediately if signifi-
cant vibrations occur or if other defects are noted.
If such a situation occurs, check the machine to determine the cause.
