WARNING Reading the operating instructions will reduce the risk of injury.
General safety warnings regarding the power tools.
WARNING Please read all warnings and instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. Failure to
observe the safety advices may lead to serious health issues (e.g. electric shock, fire or injury).
The definition "power tool" in the instruction refers to power tools being operated by the mains electricity, which means
the power tools equipped with the power cord.

2.1 Electrical safety

a) The device is electrically safe when it is properly used in compliance with the security regulations.
b) No changes whatsoever must be made to the connection plug. Also it must fit in the socket. Do not use
extension cords or adapter plugs in connection with grounded power tools. There is an increased risk of
electrical shock if your body is earthed.
c) Avoid physical contact with grounded surfaces e.g. radiators, refrigerators or pipes.
d) Generally, all power tools must be kept away from any kind of humidity like rain or wetness. Water entering
the power tool will increase the risk of electrical shock. If there is a necessity of working in damp or wet
surroundings, using a residual current device (RCD) is a must. A RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
e) Never use the cable of the power tool in order to lift up, to carry or to unplug the device. Please keep the
cable away from sharp edges, oil, heat or moving device parts. There is an increased risk of electrical shock
once the cable is tangled or damaged.
f) When working outdoors only use extension cables that are authorized for outdoor use. This reduces the risk
of electric shock.

2.2 Safety of persons

a) Do not use the power tool if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, medication or alcohol as you do
not have adequate control over the electrical device. This may cause severe injuries!
b) It is recommended to use the following personal protective equipment when operating the power tool:
• eye protection
• dust mask
• work shoes with non-slip soles
• protective helmet
• hearing protection
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery! Following the instructions mentioned above reduces the risk of acci-
dents resulting in personal injury.
c) Before connecting the power tool, please ensure the device is switched off. Connecting the power tool while
it is switched on can cause electric shock and serious health issues.
d) Remove all setting tools and screws before switching on the power tool. Any tool or screw that remains stuck
in a rotating part of the device can cause injuries.
e) When operating the power tool please ensure that you have a stable standing position and keep your balance
at all times.
f) A dust extraction system can reduce the health risks of dust as long as it is correctly assembled and installed.
