Translation of the original manual
Before using, read these instructions as well as the machine operating instructions and the coupling
manufacturer's instructions. Failure to fully follow and understand these instructions may result in
serious material damage and serious or even fatal injury.
Do not slide your fingers in the inserts profile.
Never install inserts of different diameters on the same machine.
Do not use the machine if there is no insert in the head. This action would damage the head of the press
and invalidate the guarantee. The machine is no longer being used correctly. The crimps would no
longer conform.
Never replace components yourself. Any component that has been modified in any way whatsoever
may cause serious or fatal injury.
The Viper® I26 is equipped with a mechanical coding system: inserts with diameters greater than 26 mm (according
to profile) cannot be inserted into this machine.
Only use Virax inserts.
If the formation of whiskers prevents the inserts coming into contact at the end of the pressing operation, replace the
inserts.
If abnormal wear or cracks can be seen on one of the head components, it must be replaced.
Using a damaged head or inserts will cause serious material damage and/or injury.
Check regularly the state of the inserts. Check proper closing of the head.
Clean the profiles of the inserts. Do not use metal files or abrasive materials likely to damage the crimping profile.
Do not lubricate inside the crimping profile.
The inserts are considered as consumables. Replace them at the first signs of wear. Crimping with worn inserts may
cause a leak.
When crimping is completed, a "click" occurs in the machine (6), the maximum pressure force is reached. Press the
push button to release the pressure (7) and open the head (8). The crimping cycle is complete.
If you don't have a "click" while the two jaws are almost in contact and do not move, it's necessary to redo a cycle:
release the pressure by pressing the push button (7) and operate the lever again (5) until the "click" (6).
If there is no "click" on several consecutive cycles, it is necessary to return the machine to the Virax After Sales Service
for a check.
The warranty period of your crimper is two years in normal conditions of use. Proof of purchase will be requested
(invoice or delivery bill).
Insert guaranteed 5 years (except profile).
Never disassemble the machine, never change the oil yourself, never replace components yourself. Faults due to
incorrect use, abuse, failure to respect usage instructions, intervention on the machine by a person not approved by
an approved After Sales Service repair center or normal wear are not covered by this warranty.
VIRAX does not accept responsibility for damage incurred by accessories or caused to objects or people close to the
machine.
VIRAX may not be held liable for any damage caused by crimping performed with an insert with a profile not matching
the coupling to crimp or tube used or by crimping on a faulty coupling or tube.
This warranty is the only warranty valid on your VIRAX crimper. No employee, agent, merchant or other person is
authorized to modify this warranty or to provide other warranties on behalf of VIRAX.
