Installation instructions:
Electrical system for towing hitch
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. If necessary, remove the following covers and panels:

In the luggage compartment
Covering of luggage trunk bottom
-
Covering of the rear end plate
-
Left-hand side covering
-
Left and right tail light
-
3. Starting in the luggage compartment, lead the socket end of the cable through the cable
leadthrough (Fig. 1/8) to the outside to the socket holder plate (Fig. 1/9).
4. Insert the rubber grommet into the cable leadthrough (Fig. 1/8).
Installing the socket
5. Fit the socket gasket and connect the cable harness to the socket housing in accordance with
the pin assignment plan (Fig. 1/9) and push the rubber grommet against the socket.
6. Screw the socket onto the holding plate (Fig. 1/9) using the supplied screws and nuts.
Connecting the tail lights
7. Lay the cable end with the left-side marking to the left-hand tail light (Fig. 1/1).
8. Disconnect the plug-in connector of the left tail light (Fig. 1/1) and connect it to the matching
counterparts on the cable harness. Make sure that the plugs lock firmly into place.
9. Lay the cable end with the right-side marking along the rear end plate to the right-hand tail
light (Fig. 1/10).
10. Disconnect the plug-in connector of the right-hand tail light (Fig. 1/10) and connect it to the
matching counterparts on the cable harness. Make sure that the plugs lock firmly into place.
Connecting the trailer control module
11. Secure the trailer control module (Fig. 1/5) beneath the left tail light, using some velcro tape.
12. Plug the 12-pin plug and the 18-pin plug into the trailer control module.
13. Connect the black wires with the eyelet to the vehicle's ground point (Fig. 1/6).
14. Insert the supplied miniature relay (Fig. 1/4) into the relay socket. Secure the relay socket on
the cable harness using cable ties.
