The statistical analysis program can evaluate 80 readings. When the memory is full new readings will
replace old readings.
In direct mode individual calibration values and limit values can be set. (Display indication DIR).
GROUP MODE
In GROUP mode every group memory can store a maximum of 80 single readings and 5 statistic values
(AVG, MIN, MAX, NO, Sdev.).
Calibration values and limit values can be set and stored individually for every group. When memory
is full measurement will continue but readings will not be stored and statistics values will not be over-
written by new data. If necessary group data and statistics values as well as calibration and limit values
can be deleted via the menu. (Display indication GRO1/2/3/4).
Selection of direct mode or group mode via >OPTIONS>>WORKING MODE.
When instrument is switched on it is in direct mode autoamtically each time.

CALIBRATION AND MEASUREMENT
CALIBRATION METHODS
BASIC CALIBRATION
Recommended for measurements on even surfaces and if the measuring object has the same material,
size and curvature as the zero plate attached in the kit.
ZERO-POINT CALIBRATION
Recommended before starting any measurement.
ONE-POINT CALIBRATION
Recommended for measurements that require a high accuracy and in case of constant coating
thickness (calibration using a calibration foil); furthermore for measurements on small surfaces and on
hardened and low-alloy steel.
TWO-POINT CALIBRATION
Recommended for measurements on rough surfaces or for precise measurements on smooth surfaces
with a coating thickness within a known range (calibration using a set of two calibration foils).
If instrument has been calibrated for a special purpose calibration values will remain unchanged until
new calibration values will be stored.
