from J.E. StorkAir. This manual consists of the WHR's installation, operation
and maintenance procedures.
Read this manual carefully before use.
The manual contains all the information required for safe and optimal
installation, operation and maintenance of the WHR. It is also intended as

be carried out in a sound manner. The unit is subject to continuous devel-
opment and improvement. There is therefore the possibility that the WHR
differs slightly from the descriptions given. We wish you every comfort.

1. Guarantee and liability

General
The sales and guarantee conditions for companies in the metal, plastic
and technology industries, which apply to the WHR, have been deposited
with the Clerk of the District Court of Rotterdam on 19th October 1998,
under number 19/1998.
Guarantee conditions
The manufacturer guarantees the WHR for a period of one year following
installation. Guarantee claims may only be submitted for material faults
and/or construction faults that arise during the guarantee period. In the
case of a guarantee claim, the WHR may not be dismantled without prior
written permission from the manufacturer. Spare parts are only covered
by guarantee, if they were supplied by the manufacturer and have been
installed by an approved installer. Use of the unit without filters is not
covered by the guarantee and will reduce the working life of the WHR.
The guarantee will be cancelled, if:
• the unit is used without filters.
• parts are used which are not supplied by the manufacturer.
• unauthorised alterations and/or modifications are made to the unit.
• the guarantee period has elapsed.

Liability
The WHR 90 has been designed and produced for application in "Balanced
ventilation systems". Any other application is seen as 'inappropriate use'
and can result in damage to the WHR or personal injury, for which the
manufacturer cannot be held liable.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage derived from:
• Non compliance with the safety, operating and maintenance instruc-
tions in this guide.
• The use of components not supplied by the manufacturer.
Responsibility for the use of such components lies entirely with the
installer.
• Normal wear and tear.

2. Safety

General safety regulations
• Always comply with the safety regulations of this manual. If the safety
regulations, warnings, comments and instructions are not complied
with, this can lead to personal injury or damage to the WHR.
• Installation of the WHR must be carried out in accordance with the
general and locally applicable construction, safety and installation
instructions of local councils, electricity and water boards.
• The WHR may only be installed, connected and rendered operational
by a registered installer.
• Always comply with the safety regulations, warnings, remarks and
instruction as described of this manual.
• Keep this manual close to the WHR throughout its lifespan.
• Instructions for periodic cleaning or replacement of the filters and of
the intake and exhaust valves must be followed closely.
• The specifications given in this document may not be modified.
• Modification of the WHR is not permitted.
• The unit is not suitable for connection to three-phase power supplies.
We recommend taking up a maintenance contract so that the unit can
be inspected regularly. Your supplier can provide you with addresses of
certified installers in your area.
Safety provisions and measures to be taken

must be connected to the WHR. The minimum duct length is 900mm.
