• HELPFUL BLENDING TIPS

To blend solid foods, such as raw vegetables and fruits, always cut them into pieces
no larger than 2 cm before placing them into the container. Blend no more than 1/2
cup of these foods at a time. This will speed the blending process and reduce wear
on the blending blades.
o
Always place liquid ingredients in the container first, unless a recipe specifically states
otherwise.
o
Avoid excess blending. Usually you will need to blend for only a few seconds, not for
several minutes. Over blending may cause food to be mushy.
o
To add food or ice while the blender is operating, simply remove the cap for the refill
hole from the cover and drop the ingredients through the opening. Be sure to cut
foods into 2-cm pieces to fit through the opening. Remember to replace the cover so
that the blender can thoroughly blend the ingredients.
o
To blend beverages, place all the ingredients in the container at the same time.
o
To prevent the container from unscrewing from the blade assembly, release the
blade holder from the base first, then lift the filled container from the base, do not
turn.
o
After 1 minute of continuous operation, allow a 1 minute pause before using the
appliance again.
o
CAUTION: Never operate the blender without the container cover firmly in place.

• CLEANING YOUR BLENDER

Important: Be sure the blender is unplugged before cleaning.
o
Remove the container from the blender base and rinse with water to remove any
large food particles that may have accumulated in the container. Replace the
container on the base. Place 1 to 2 cups of warm, soapy water into the container and
blend at high speed for a few seconds. Remove the container from the base and rinse
with water. Repeat procedure as necessary.
o
Wipe the blender base with a clean, damp cloth.
o
Caution: Do not immerse the blender base in water or other liquid. Do not use harsh
detergents or abrasive cleaners on any part of the blender.
o
Important: The blender parts may not be washed in the dishwasher. When washing
by hand do not fill the container with boiling water. The blade assembly bearing has
been designed with a lifetime lubricant; exposure to boiling water may damage these
bearings and shorten the life of the blender.
