the unit to play from the buffer memory. If the buffer becomes unavailable the effect will stop until buffer is
regained.
7. ISO: This isolation filter lets you play only a specific frequency of a track. Rotate the wheel to select the
frequency. The CD player will remember the set parameters when turning off the effect.
8. KILL: This elimination filter lets you play all frequencies but a specified frequency. Rotate the wheel to
select the frequency not to be played. The CD player will remember the set parameters when turning off
the effect.
9. BLEEP: Press the button to activate the effect. It is a temporary (forward) reverse function allowing you to
"bleep out" explicit lyrics or create interesting effects. This effect is dependent upon the number of set loops
or the available anti-shock buffer.
10. REVERSE: This actually plays the music backwards. Press to activate the effect.
17. PROGRAM FUNCTION
This button provides several programmable functions depending upon the combination of buttons used.
1. TRACK SEQUENCE SELECTION: Press the PROG button while the playing is stopped. The indicator will
light. Select each track to be programmed and press PROG between selections. Press PLAY/STUTTER
button to start playing the sequence. To exit and erase the program, hold PROG pressed while the playing
is stopped, open the disc tray or turn off the power.
2. END OF TRACK GAP ELIMINATION: Hold down PROG and press PLAY/STUTTER button to show an
option for eliminating the gap at the end of the tracks. The display will indicate "0space" when the function
is set to eliminate space. Setting this function on one side will affect both sides enabling the function on one
side while the other is playing.
3. RELAY TIME: Hold down PROG and press AUTO START to show the available relay times between tracks
((0) to relay immediately after the track, (1), (2), (3) or (4) seconds added or reduced). By reducing the
relay time, the next track will cross over before the end of the preceding track, thus creating an automatic
segue from master to slave. This feature will also work in track sequence program mode. Make sure to
program an equal number of tracks on both sides in SINGLE mode. Setting this function on one side will
affect both sides anbling the function on one side while the other is playing.
4. FREE WHEEL CUE: Hold down PROG and press CUE to alternate the jog wheel between free wheel and
non free wheel mode during CUE operations. The sound during wheel rotation can be adjusted from a
smooth "scratch" sound to a traditional "stutter" sound. The display will indicate FREE WHEEL when the
"scratch" sound is active. This setting will be remembered at power-down.
5. DIGITAL OUTPUT: Hold down PROG and press PITCH to switch on the digital output and to deactivate all
pitch and loop functions.
6. SMART LOOPING: To active the smart looping, hold down PROG and press EFFECT ACTIVE. All loop
points and stuttering effects will follow the beat of the music.
