1 - Description of cabinet
The cabinets of the DORADO line are built in units with a usable internal length of 1100 mm (MODEL 120), 1610 mm
(MODEL 170), 2110 mm (MODEL 220), with end-walls 60 mm thick. The ice-cream finishing is equipped with 12 flavours
for MODEL 120, 18 flavours for MODEL 170 and 24 flavours for MODEL 220.
The cabinets can be multiplexed as to obtain line-up of the desired length and layout, they are available in a version with
incorporated compressor (I.C.) and external compressor (E.C.), with a wide range of accessories and optionals.
The general features and dimensions are clearly illustrated in FIG. 1 on page 1.
2 - Transport of the unit
The unit comes on wooden runners (wooden crating available on request) to facilitate handling by forklift. Only authorised
expert personnel should handle the unit. TAB. 1 on page 1 shows the weight of the units and FIG. 2 on page 1 shows fork
lengths of the relative lifting points.
3 - Arrival and storage
On delivery, make sure the cabinet has not been damaged, and check the conditions of the packing. If it shows any
damage, check the contents in the presence of the carrier. The cabinet should be protected from atmospheric agents,
and stored at a temperature between -25°C and +55°C, with relative humidity between 30% and 95%.
Remove the wooden runner and the padding around it. Position the cabinet exactly where you plan to install it. Move the
cabinet carefully, never pull it by the end walls!
Unpack the cabinet with care because the glass parts and all the accessories are packed inside it.
Important: if the goods are delivered damaged, notify the manufacturer at once: any delay in reporting damage will
relieve the manufacturer of all liability.
Any damage to the cabinet occurring during shipment and storage may not be attributed to the manufacturer.
4 - Installation and environmental conditions
First of all remove the wooden runner (FIG. 3 page 2). The unit should be placed on a perfectly flat floor. When fully
loaded, the display cabinet should not vibrate. The efficiency of the unit may be endangered if it is not perfectly levelled! If
not, adjust it by screwing or unscrewing the feet (FIG. 4 page 2).
Do not install the cabinet in rooms where there are explosive gasses.
Do not use the cabinet outdoors or expose it to rain (FIG. 5 page 2).
The performance of the cabinet refers (according to the international standard EN ISO 23953-1/2) to environmental
climatic class 3 which consists of a room temperature of 25°C with relative humidity of 60%. Performance may suffer if
the environmental conditions differ from those foreseen, or the cabinets are exposed to air flows of more than 0.2m/sec or
sources of heat. To avoid this problem, the User should send the Manufacturer details of the environmental conditions
before finalising the design of the units, so that the technical parameters and material options can be modified and the
installer informed of the refrigerating power actually required.
Adequate space should be provided in front (client side), and in back (operator side) of the cabinet to permit maintenance
and cooling of the condenser (FIG. 6 page 2). In case of a rear platform, we suggest providing a removable part near the
control panel to facilitate maintenance.
5 - Assembly of cabinet
The operations of assembly of the cabinet should be carried out exclusively by authorized personnel. Please use the
supplied components.
Assembly instructions of the cabinet in pastry finishing.
-
Position the superstructure on the working shelf. Fasten the uprights with the screws provided, inserting them in the
holes drilled (SEQUENCE A, FIG. 7 page 2). Be careful not to touch the supply cable, but pull it slowly during the
positioning of the superstructure on the lower part of the cabinet. Then assemble the intermediate shelf. (SEQUENCE
B, FIG. 7 page 2).
-
Assemble the side glasses (FIG. 8 page 2) keeping the serigraphy on the external side of the cabinet.
-
Insert the side uprights in the end wall (SEQUENCE A FIG. 9 page 3) by screwing them in the lower and in the upper
part from inside the lighting canopy (SEQUENCE B FIG. 9 page 3).
-
Assemble the front decoration trim as per FIG. 10 page 3. Please refer to the holes drilled on it. (This is the last thing
to do if the cabinets are multiplexed).
-
Insert the curved front glass, after having positioned the transparent plastic gasket, centering it accurately on the
aluminum profile and fasten it by tightening the dowels with a hexagonal wrench (FIG. 11 page 3).
-
Assemble the bottom panel on the service side as per FIG. 12 page 3. Then adjust the plastic covers on the screws.
(This is the last thing to do if the cabinets are multiplexed).
-
Assemble the top glass shelf with the painted part inside the cabinet. Then assemble intermediate glass shelf FIG. 13
page 3. (This is the last thing to do if the cabinets are multiplexed).
