In washrooms (bathroom, toilet etc.),
a smoke alarm device is usually not re-
ognizes smoke from fire and the in-
creasing temperature in the room.
The loud alarm signal serves to warn
you as quickly as possible. If you have
determined there is no emergency
requiring escape, this signal can be
temporarily deactivated for about 10
min or suppressed even before the
alarm goes off by gently pressing the
test/stop button (Fig. 1d). It is then rec-
ommended to ventilate the rooms well,
which also prevents the alarm from be-
ing set off again.
