The Motor On/Off Switch (Fig. 4)

Note: The On/Off switch is a sliding
semi-latching type.
To switch the machines motor 'On':
• Using a thumb, rock the switch
backwards slightly.
• Slide the switch fully forwards.
• Rock the switch forwards slightly to lock
it in the 'On' position.
To switch the machines motor 'Off':
• Press the back of the switch marked 'O'
and allow the switch to spring back to
the 'Off' position.
The Motor Speed Control (Fig. 5)
Rotate the thumb wheel until the required
speed is obtained.

Sanding Head Suction Regulator Control

The suction control allows the volume of
air (and suspended dust) being extracted
from the Sanding Head to be adjusted. At
maximum suction the Sanding Head may
become difficult to move or sweep over
the work surface. Regulating the volume
of air extracted from the Sanding Head
can reduce operator workload by reducing
the effort required to sweep the Sanding
Head over the work surface.
To adjust the suction:
• Rotate the thumb - wheel (as viewed
from the direction shown in Fig 6) fully to
the left for maximum suction.
• Rotate the thumb wheel full to the right
for no suction.
• Position the thumb wheel in any
intermediate position to vary the suction.
