FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION / OPERATION
Changing the Abrasive Disc
WARNING: Only remove or replace an
abrasive sanding disc with the machine
disconnected from the power supply.
Note: Only use sanding discs which are
specifically designed for use in this machine.
This machine uses a hook and loop system
which enables very quick changes of the
abrasive sanding disc. The hooks on the Motor
Driven Backing Pad engage with the loops on
the back of the abrasive sanding disc.
To fit an abrasive sanding disc:
• Place the new abrasive disc (Fig. 1)
accurately onto the Backing Pad .

• Press it firmly by hand into place.
• Be careful to ensure that the nine (9)
holes in the abrasive sanding disc line up
perfectly with the nine (9) holes in the
Backing Pad. (Fig. 2)

To remove an abrasive sanding disc:

• Lift the abrasive disc at any point along its
edge, and gently peel upwards and away
from the Backing Pad.
Fitting the Dust Extraction Hose
Note: The Dust Extraction Hose can
be fitted to a workshop vacuum dust
extraction/collection system (not supplied).
To fit the Extraction Hose to the Dry
Wall Sander:
• Select the ø45mm end of the Extraction
Hose. (Fig. 3) Note the Locking Ring (A)

• Push firmly into the end of the
Telescopic Tube.
• Rotate the Locking Ring in the bayonet
fitting to secure the extraction hose in
place.
Note: The other end of the tube can be
fitted to a workshop vacuum extraction
machine. Follow the manufacturer's
instructions if such a machine is available.
WARNING: Dust can be very dangerous.
We strongly recommend that a suitable
dust extraction machine is used with this
machine to keep the workplace as clean
and safe as possible.
