4. Description and usage
4.1. Principle
The advantage of this method is that the cold-curing polymer is guaranteed to harden
bubble-free and without pores since the Polyclav
of 1.8 – 2.2 bar, distributing the reaction heat during polymerization and increasing the
boiling point of the monomer. The warm water in the vessel transfers pressure to the
cold-curing polymer and hardens the acrylic.
4.2. Operation
4.2.1. Positioning the lid
Place the lid onto the Polyclav
turn the lid to the left until the handle of the lid  is on level with the handle of the
vessel . The Polyclav
4.2.2. Pressure increase in the Polyclav
Remove the closure cap of the inlet valve before using the Polyclav
Pressurize the closed and locked Polyclav
marking, see image) using the pressure hose (accessory, REF 070-015-00):
Should the needle of the pressure gauge go beyond the area marked green, open
the outlet valve  briefly to release excess pressure.
Should the pressure exceed 2.5 bar, the safety valve will automatically open,
reducing the pressure to approx. 2.2 bar.
4.2.3. Relieving pressure and opening the Polyclav
Lift the lever of the outlet valve  to an upright position to release pressure. Pressure is
released. The manometer  must indicate that the pressure level is zero (0 bar).
Then push the sliding switch  backwards as far as it will go and, at the same time,
turn the lid handle  anti-clockwise. Remove the lid from the pressure vessel.
