Controlling the volume

Using the monitor's speakers or headphones, you can listen to
sound from your computer or other audio equipment connected to
the monitor's audio input jacks.
You can control the volume by using a separate VOLUME menu
from the main menu.

Press the M/m (2) buttons when no menu appears
on the screen.

Press the M/m (2) buttons to control the volume.
The menu automatically disappears after about 5 seconds.
Using the headphones
By connecting your headphones to the monitor's headphone jack,
you can listen to sound from your computer or other audio
equipment connected to the monitor's audio input jack.
Notes
• You cannot adjust the volume when displaying the main menu on the
screen.
• When your monitor is in power saving mode, no sound comes from the
speakers or the headphones.

Power saving function

This monitor meets the power-saving guidelines set by VESA,

NERGY
TAR, and NUTEK. If the monitor is connected to a
computer or video graphics board that is DPMS (Display Power
Management Signaling) compliant, the monitor will
automatically reduce power consumption as shown below.

When your computer enters the "active off" mode, the input signal is
cut and NO INPUT SIGNAL appears on the screen. After 10 seconds,
the monitor enters the power saving mode.
** "Deep sleep" is a power saving mode defined by the Environmental
Protection Agency.
Note
If the
ZZ...
(POWER SAVE) is set to OFF (page 16), the monitor does not
enter the power saving mode.
