The charger is suitable for operation in dry rooms. All
ventilation slots are to be kept clear. Place as far away as
possible from heating and exposure to heat as an ambient
temperature of over 35° C can lead to a considerably lon-

6. Commissioning and use

Left-hand red LED (Light-emitting diode)
If the device is connected to the power network, the left-hand LED will light up red, the device is working properly. If this
LED flashes red, there is a malfunction, charging may not be continued.

7. Charging process

The inserted battery will be examined as to voltage,
temperature, short circuiting and polarity. Before starting
charging, the safety elements (bi-metal or NTC) will be
verified via the temperature contact.
Flashing red light (right-hand LED)
The intelligent charging process will ascertain the char-
ging state of the inserted battery in the first 8 seconds.
The special feature of this charging process is the re-
cognition of the charging state. The modification of the
charging current prevents any increase of the charging
voltage.
Steady green light (right-hand LED)
The battery is being charged.

4. Network connection

The details on the type plate regarding supply voltage
and frequency should be observed before connecting
the device. The charger will be ready for use once the
power cable has been inserted into the socket.

Flashing green light (right-hand LED) the battery is fully
charged and the charger automatically switches to float
charging. This charging process will save the battery and
ensure that it is always fully charged.
During mains operation, the battery can remain on the
charger for an unlimited period without being damaged.
There is no danger of overcharge.
Flashing red light (right-hand LED) The LED indicates
that the battery temperature is outside the quick charge
temperature range of 5° C - 40° C. The charger will auto-
matically switch to quick charger as soon as the permis-
sible temperature is reached.
Steady red light (right-hand LED) The battery is defec-
tive.
