1. General safety rules
Safety at work
1. Ensure a safe working environment. An untidy environment leads to an increased risk of accidents.
2. Do not use any chargers in an explosive environment such as in the vicinity of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
3. Ventilation slots on the charger must be protected from metal or metal cuttings.

Electrical safety

4. Always check the device, connection cable, extension cable and plug for damage and deterioration before use.
5. Keep the cable away form heat sources, oil and sharp edges.
6. Do not throw used batteries into the fire or dispose of these with household waste. Akku Power offers a service for
the environmental disposal of old rechargeable batteries. Please ask your dealer.
7. The charger may not be exposed to rain or humidity. This will lead to an increased risk of electrocution.
8. Observe the symbols on the charger's rating plate.
9. The safe handling of the charger is only guaranteed if the safety and operating information are carefully read and
adhered to.
Use and care
10. Thecharger is not meant to be used by persons (including children from 8 years) with limited physical, sensory
or mental abilities or lacking experience and/or knowledge unless tasked by a person responsible for their safety or
following instructions from the latter as to how to operate the device. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the device.
11. Store unused chargers outside the reach of children and do not allow anyone to use these who is not familiar with
the device or these instructions.
12. Take proper care of the charger. Keep an eye out for defective connections and proper seating of moving parts,
defects and all other conditions that may affect the device's operation. Have any damage to the charger fixed before use.
13. The charger may only be used with the specially provided battery. The use of other batteries can cause danger of
injury or fire.
14. The charger is for charging Ni-MH and Li-Ion batteries with capacities ranging from 9.6 V to 28.8 V and
1.2 Ah to 6.0 Ah.
15. The unused battery may not be stored in the vicinity of other metallic objects such as paper clips, coins, nails, screws
or other metallic objects as there is a danger of contact.
16. Improper use can lead to fluid leaking from the battery; avoid in this case any physical contact with the fluid. If you
accidentally come into contact with this, wash the area concerned thoroughly with water. Seek medical assistance if
fluid gets into the eyes.
Maintenance
17. Do no disassemble either the battery or the charger. Only allow specialists to maintain the charger.
This will ensure the long-term safety of the charger.
18. Cleaning and maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.
