Using the Appliance

1. Place the appliance on a firm and flat surface. Position it
such that it cannot tilt over.
2. Insert the plug in a duly installed protective contact
socket.
3. Place a glass (vessel) under the spout of the juice
container.
4. Press the spout downwards in order to open the outlet
aperture.
5. Halve the citrus fruit in the middle.
6. Hold one half of the citrus fruit above the pressing cone
with one hand, while you lower the lever with the other
hand. Put the fruit cover directly above the citrus fruit. If
you apply a little pressure to the lever, the appliance will
start the motor on its own.
NOTE:
• The juice flows into the glass (vessel). Fruit flesh
and pips remain in the filter screen.
• If you use little fruit, you can squeeze out the rest of
the fruit by pressing half of the fruit gently onto the
pressing cone with your hand.
7. Before removing the glass (vessel) press the spout
upwards in order to seal the outlet of the juice container
and prevent dripping.
8. Pull the plug out of the socket after use and clean the
appliance as described below.
NOTE:
• Citrus fruit juices should be stored in a cool place for
not more than one day.
• Never store such juices in metal containers. The acid
in the juice attacks the metal surface. Metal ions form
which spoil the taste of the juice.
