The keys may be locked against accidental operation (e. g. during a cur-
rent recording). To switch on the key lock, set the switch HOLD (19) to
position ON. The keys of the recorder are now locked. To switch off the
key lock, set the switch to position OFF again.
9 Data Exchange With a Computer
To process, to send the recordings or to burn on CD and as a backup, the
data may be transferred to a computer. Likewise audio files for the re-
production with the DPR-3000 can be transferred from the computer to
the memory of the recorder.
Once the connection with a current computer is made via the USB
cable, the following figure appears on the display after switching on the
recorder.

Like on other drives the files can be copied, moved, renamed or
deleted.
For using the recorder functions of the DPR-3000 instead of a data ex-
change while the recorder is connected to the computer for power sup-
ply only, log out the recorder in the operating system of the computer via
the function "Safely remove hardware".
9.1 Separating the USB connection
To prevent data loss, prior to separating the USB connection, correctly
log out the drives belonging to the recorder in the operating system of the
computer, i. e. use the function "eject" or "Safely remove hardware". Like-
wise, prior to removing the SD card, log out the corresponding drive and
switch off the recorder.
10 Reset of the Recorder
If the recorder should not respond to the operation or should respond in
an unexpected way, shortly switch it off and switch it on again or press
the recessed reset button (29) on the rear side with a small object (e. g.
pen).
