Note:
IndraDyn A ATEX motors themselves are not certified as
explosion-protected devices, but are prepared as a part of an
overall system. Please also observe the notes in Chapter 5.7
"EEx p Control Device for Motor Scavenging". Necessary
safety equipment is to be prepared by the user.
The motors described here (components for Group II, Category 2G,
ATEX guideline 94/9/EG, Appendix II, Section 2.2.1) may only be used in
an environment in which
• no explosive atmosphere due to gases, vapors or fog is likely to
develop, or
• an explosive atmosphere due to gases, vapors or fog can
occasionally occur.
The system and the components must thus be designed and
manufactured by the user in such a manner that sources of ignition are
avoided assuming that device malfunctions occur frequently and that
operating states occur that are usually unexpected.
Danger of explosion!
⇒ To ensure explosion protection, use only EEx p
scavenging devices (see Chapter 5.7) with an Ex
protection class that is equal to or better than the
DANGER
motor.
⇒ The values indicated on the identification label (Fig.
5-3), for example for the scavenging voluem, the
scavenging gas, the initial pressure and the over
pressure must be ensured and monitored by the
scavenging device.
