3. PRESENTATION AND DESCRIPTION

The supertirfor™ is a compressed air griphoist providing
high mechanical efficiency.
The weight of the TU16A in working order is 40 kg and
the unit has a capacity of 1 600 kg. The TU32A weights
88 kg in working order and has a capacity of 3 200 kg.
The supertirfor™ operates on compressed air as
available at worksites and/or using a compressor
with minimum power of 3 Hp. The unit will ensure the
following functional characteristics under the most
unfavorable conditions (max. lifting load).
The lifting speed depends on the weight of the load to
be lifted.

The TU16A and TU32A air griphoists are derived from
the TU16 and TU32 manual hoists with changes to a
NL
few treated steel parts aimed at increasing the fatigue
strength of all the driven components.
The TU16A and TU32A are actuated by a self-reversing
cylinder.
Le supertirfor™ operates in forward motion (pulling
and lifting) and in reverse motion (lowering) with no
manual effort supplied by the operator. In the event of a
compressed air supply cutout, the hoist can be operated
by hand.
IMPORTANT: To ensure correct operation, only the
specially designed 11.5 mm diameter cable should be
used with the TU16A and the 16.3 mm diameter cable
should be used with the TU32A.
As for all the manual tirfor
the TU32A are built to the highest standards to ensure
user safety.
All the main parts and compressed air circuits
are engineered and tested to the most rigorous
requirements.
All the parts forming the unit have been engineered in
observance of European standards.
EVEN WITH AN AIR SUPPLY CUTOUT,
THE HOIST CAN BE OPERATED
The very high weight-power ratio of the supertirfor™
makes this hoist a unique product on the market. The
hoist is fast to set up and easy to use.

BY HAND.
The self-reversing cylinder is self-lubricated and
requires no lubrication oil. It is also equipped with an
inlet filter protecting the compressed air circuit.
CAUTION
The manual console should always be maintained in its
vertical position as it contains the compressed air filter.
4. ASSEMBLY DRAWINGS (for example)
The capacity of each unit can be significantly increased
using pulley blocks (Figs. 1, 2 and 3). To evaluate
the increase in capacity, the efficiency of the pulleys
(-5% for each block) must be taken into account.
WARNING: Any setup requiring calculation of
the forces applied should be checked by a qualified
technician, especially as concerns the necessary
strength of the fixed points used.
CAUTION
Whatever the assembly setup, and if the unit is directly
secured to a fixed point, the hoist and its cable should be
able to line-up with no stress in the direction of the load
or effort. In this respect, a sling of appropriate strength
should be installed between the anchor point and the
hoist (FIg. 4).
The compressed air hose should be free of any folds
or loops. The compressed air should never encounter
any resistance in the line. Only the console supplied with
the TU16A should be used. Never directly connect the
piston to a compressed air supply.

5. ANCHORING

The hoist should be anchored to a point which is
sufficiently strong.
The TU16A anchoring device is a hook equipped with
a safety flap (FIg. 5). The safety flap must always be
placed in the closed position, bearing against the hook
nose (FIg. 6).
The TU32A is anchored by means of a removable
anchoring pin which runs through the two lugs
of the casing (Figs. 7 and 8) and is locked by a
pin equipped with a two-position spring ring (locked
and unlocked) (Figs. 9 and 10).
NEVER USE THE HOLES IN
THE CLEVIS FOR MOUNTING.
Press the safety button (2) to free the release handle
(1) and place it in the "open" position (Figs. 17 and 18).
