2� Important Safeguards
As with every electrical device, use this air purifier carefully and cautiously in order to avoid hazards due to
electric shock. Read the notes carefully! Non-observance of the following information may result in personal
injury or product/property damage.
WARNING – To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or serious personal injury:
• Read all instructions before use.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
• NEVER put the cord under rugs, near heat registers, radiator, stoves or heaters.
• DO NOT immerse the device in water or other liquids. Do not use near water.
• Always supervise children when they are near the unit.
• Always unplug the air purifier before moving it, opening the front cover, changing filters, cleaning or
whenever the air purifier is not in use.
• Be sure to pull by the plug and not the cord.
• NEVER drop or insert any object into any openings.
• DO NOT run cord under carpeting.
• DO NOT cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings.
• DO NOT route cord under furniture or appliances.
• The device is intended for household use only, as described in this manual. Any other use not recom-
mended by the manufacturer may cause fie, electric shock or injury.
• DO NOT use outdoors.
• DO NOT store any items on top of the unit.
• NEVER block the air openings, grills/outlets or place on a soft surface such as a bed or sofa, as this
could cause the unit to tip over, blocking the air intake or outtake opening.
• DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will
void the warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user serviceable parts. All servicing should be
performed by qualified personnel only.
• Keep packaging material away from children to avoid danger of suffocation.
• DO NOT operate the device at voltages other than those indicated on the device (the rating plate is
located on the back of the device), if it or its accessories show visible signs of damage, or during a
thunderstorm.
• In the event of defects or operational faults, switch the device off immediately and disconnect it from
the electrical outlet. DO NOT pull on the power cord or on the device to disconnect the plug from the
socket. Never hold or carry the device by the power cord. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
• Always switch off the device before disconnecting it from the electrical outlet.
• NEVER disconnect the power cord with wet or damp hands.
• Keep the device and cord away from sources of heat as the housing could melt and trigger a fire.
• Ensure that the openings of the device and the power cord do not come into contact with water, steam,
or other liquids.
• DO NOT use the device near flammable or explosive gas mixtures.
• NEVER reach for a device that has been submerged in water. Disconnect it from the electrical outlet
immediately.
• DO NOT use the device if it or its accessories are visibly damaged or if the unit has been dropped.
• Only authorized personnel may perform repairs on electrical devices. Improper repairs may subject
users to considerable danger. For repairs, please contact Customer Service.
• DO NOT open the device.
• NEVER use underneath a cover such as a blanket, pillow, etc.
• NEVER use near gasoline or other highly flammable substances.
• Under no circumstances must liquid enter the fan unit.
• DO NOT use any solvent-based cleaning products.
