The machine needs:
• A suitable electrical 120V outlet.
• A water supply line, ready to receive 1/4" diameter semi-rigid polyethylene tubing, with a dedicated
water shutoff valve. The machine includes a 10' (3 m) length of tubing.
• A nearby floor drain.
• A method of securing the machine to the countertop.
Review the following questions before securing the machine and fabricating a drain pipe:
1. Will the water line reach the machine?
2. Can a rigid 3/4" PVC drain pipe (1.05" [2.7 cm] outside diameter) be routed from the rear of the machine
to a floor drain?
• If the countertop does not have a backsplash, it might be easiest to route the drain pipe to the back
and then down to a floor drain.
• If there is a backsplash on the countertop, it may be easiest to place the machine near the left or
right edge of the countertop and route the drain pipe to the side and then down to a drain.
3. How can the machine be secured? Can bolts pass through the countertop (or can a C-clamp be used)?
4. Is there a nearby 120V receptacle?

Supplies required
Two M6 (1.0) or 1/4-20 stainless steel cap bolts of
appropriate length, appropriate flat washers below
bolt head and below countertop, nuts.
PVC drain pipe. Below is a likely list of
components:
