5.7 Measurement with Sampling Hose
For measurement in inaccessible locations the UNIPHOS sampling
hose (4 m/13 ft or 15 m/49 ft) is used. The connecting tube of the
sampling hose is inserted into the bushing on the pump head. The
detector tube is inserted into the tube holder.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Depending on the frequency of use, periodic cleaning and check
for correct performance are recommended. Disassemble Gas-
Tester (see Fig. 1) and rinse all parts in water containing a mild
detergent. Dry the parts at temperatures up to 50 °C (122 °F) and
reassemble.
Check suction ball, valve washer and bushing for damages peri-
odically and replace with new parts if necessary.
If the measuring device is not sufficiently tight (see 5.1), check
position of bushing, seat of the valve washer and the fit of the
suction ball and replace the parts causing the leak if necessary.
Most frequently the valve washer must be replaced (see Fig. 6).
The valve washer must be smoothly positioned around the neck of
the pump body.
