CASTER SYSTEM ASSEMBLY
Not all units are equipped with the same caster system. Follow the instructions, which
apply to your specific unit.
With Caster Feet
1. With cord disconnected

from receptacle and tank
cover removed, turn tank
upside down so that the
bottom is facing up.
2. With a pair of scissors,
trim the enclosed template
to fit your size tank. Sizes
will be 11", 14" or 16"
diameters.

3. Once template is cut
out, place on bottom of
tank. Align inlet arrow on
template with center of
inlet on tank (Figure 2).
4. If caster feet are attached
together, separate by
removing webbing.
5. Take caster foot marked
with the letter A and align

arrow on foot (Figure 3)
with arrow on template
also marked with the letter
A (Figure 4).
6. Place groove of foot over
rim of tank and push until
the caster foot is tight
against bottom of tank
(Figure 5).
7. Secure feet with screw and washer when provided (Figure 6).
8. Repeat steps 4-7 with remaining feet.
9. If plastic flat washers are included in hardware package, place one flat washer over stem
of each caster. NOTE: Flat washers are not required with all units.
10. Insert casters into feet by placing stem of caster into holes provided. Apply pressure and
twisting motion until casters snap into place (Figure 7).
11. Return tank to upright position.
With Caster Dolly
You will find four casters (a) with your wet/dry vacuum. If your vacuum is 16 U.S. gallon (60.5
liter) or larger, you will also find two screws, two metal flat washers and two square nuts.
Assemble as follows:
a
1. Make sure the cord is disconnected from the receptacle then remove the tank cover.
2. If your unit is 4 U.S. gallon (15.1 liter) to 14 U.S. gallon (53 liter), assemble as follows:
a. Turn tank upside down so the bottom is facing up.
b. Insert casters into bottom of dolly by placing stem of caster into holes provided. Apply
pressure and twisting motion until casters snap into place (Figure 8).
c. Return tank to upright position.
3. If your unit is 16 U.S. gallon (60.5 liter) or above, assemble as follows:
a. With the tank upright and back facing you, insert square nut into one of the two slots
located in back of dolly (Figure 9).
b. Place metal flat washer over stem of screw.
c. Tilt the tank forward slightly and locate the hole provided in the underside of the dolly
directly below the slot containing the square nut (Figure 10).
d. Place the screw, containing the flat washer, into the hole and turn clockwise until end of
screw is connected to square nut. If you have difficulty getting the screw to connect to
the square nut, push downward on the square nut with the eraser end of a pencil while
turning the screw.
e. Finish tightening the screw using 7/16" socket, wrench or nut driver.
f.
Repeat steps a to e with the second slot in dolly.

With Wheel Dolly
You will find two casters (a), two large rear wheels (b), one axle (c), tool rack (d), two washers
(e), and two hair pin clips (f). If your vacuum is 16 U.S. gallons (60.5 liters) or larger you will
also find two screws, two metal flat washers and two square nuts with your wet/dry vacuum.
Assemble as follows:

Make sure the cord is disconnected from the receptacle then remove the tank cover.

If your unit is 4 U.S. gallon (15.1 liter) to 14 U.S. gallon (53 liter), assemble as follows:
a.
Turn tank upside down so the bottom is facing up.
b.
Continue on to step 4 below.
3.
If your unit is 16 U.S. gallon (60.5 liter) or above, assemble as follows:
a.
With the tank upright and back facing you, insert square nut into one of the two slots
located in back of dolly (Figure 11).
b.
Place metal flat washer over stem of screw.
c.
Tilt the tank forward slightly and locate the hole provided in the underside of the dolly
directly below the slot containing the square nut (Figure 12).
d.
Place the screw, containing the flat washer, into the hole and turn clockwise until
end of screw is connected to square nut. If you have difficulty getting the screw to
connect to the square nut, push downward on the square nut with the eraser end of a
pencil while turning the screw.
e.
Finish tightening the screw using 7/16" socket, wrench or nut driver.
f.
Repeat steps a to e with the second slot in dolly.
g.
Turn tank upside down so bottom is facing up. Continue on to set 4 below.
Place one hair pin clip in one end of axle (Figure 13). Slide one washer down the length of

the axle to rest on the hair pin clip. Slide wheel onto axle next to washer (Figure 14). Be
sure flat side of wheel hub is facing outward.

Slide axle through holes provided in tool rack (Figure 15).
6.
Slide remaining wheel then washer onto axle. Insert hair pin clip into remaining hole in
axle to hold wheel in place (Figure 16).
7.
Install tool rack assembly onto dolly (already installed on tank) by placing large slot in
tool rack over rim on back of dolly (Figure 17). Push tool rack onto dolly until the bottom
of tool rack is flush with bottom of dolly. NOTE: It is normal for tool rack to fit tightly onto
dolly.
8.
Secure with four screws provided (Figure 18).
9.
If plastic flat washers are included in hardware package, place one flat washer over stem
of each caster. NOTE: Flat washers are not required with all units.
10. Insert casters into front of dolly by placing stem of casters into holes provided. Apply
pressure and twisting motion until casters snap into place (Figure 19).
11. Return tank to upright position.
