The extension can be easily removed for free arm sewing. Free arm sewing is good for circle areas like sleeves, waistbands and pant legs. If socks, knee or elbow ar- eas need mending, the free arm will be best to use. Pull the end of the extension table away from the machine, as shown in the drawing.
