PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
2. Turn the handwheel (6), then raise the needle as shown in figure "F14".
Stop the rotation of the handwheel (6) to block the insertion of the needle (10).
Pay attention to your fingers during this operation.
Danger of injury !
3. Firmly grip the needle to be replaced.
4. Unscrew the screw of the clamp (12) counterclockwise to loosen it (Fig. F15a).
5. Remove the needle to be replaced.
6. Insert the new needle in the appropriate seat, making sure that the flat part is posi-
tioned towards the back of the appliance.
Make sure that the needle is inserted as far as it will go. This precaution
prevents the risk of bent or blunt needles and damaged stitches.
7. Screw the clamp screw (12) clockwise to tighten it firmly (Fig. F15b).
> > Winding the coil thread
1. Wind the thread onto the spool holder (15) (Fig. F16).
2. Pull out the thread and turn it once on the coil winding tension disc (2) (Fig. F17).
3. Prepare the empty coil (40) and the winding bar (41) (Fig. F18).
4. Insert the empty coil (40) into the winding bar (41) (Fig. F19).
5. Install the coil (40) complete with bar (41) on the motor body (1) (Fig. F20).
6. Switch on the appliance by pressing the switch (7) on "I" or "II" (Fig. F36).
7. Gently press the pedal (26) with your foot to start winding the thread
(Fig. F37).
8. After winding, cut the thread (Fig. F21).

Operate with the appliance turned off and disconnected
electrically.
1. Remove the top cover (3) by sliding it to the left (Fig. F22).
2. Place the coil on the spool holder (15) and turn it clockwise (Fig. F23a).
3. Pass the coil thread through the coil winding hole (31) by sliding it from back to front
(Fig. F23b).
