When shipping or disposing of batteries and
cordless tools, always ensure that they are
packed individually in plastic bags to prevent
short circuits and fi res.
This machine is never allowed to be used by
children, persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capacities or with a lack of experience
and knowledge, or persons who are not familiar
with the instructions. Local regulations might
specify an age limit for the user. Children are not
allowed to play with the equipment. Unless super-
vised, children are not allowed to clean the equip-
ment or carry out user-level maintenance work.
Additional safety instructions
Always walk. Never run.
Always keep the ventilation opening clean.
Never direct the blow hole at persons or ani-
mals.
The machine may only be used at reasonable
times of the day, i.e. not in the early morning
or late evening when it will be a nuisance to
other people. The times specified by local au-
thorities must be observed.
Remove all foreign objects with a rake and
brush before starting any blowing work.
Where conditions are dusty, dampen the sur-
face a little or use a sprinkler attachment.
Use the full-length blower nozzle extension
so that the air current can work near to the
ground.
Watch out for children, pets, open windows
etc. and blow the foreign objects safely away
from them.
Warning: This machine is not designed for
use by children.
Warning: Risk of injury from rotating parts.
Warning: Never use this equipment near
open windows.
Never use the equipment when there are
any people (particularly children) or animals
nearby.
Do not let hands, other parts of the body or
clothing get into the infeed, into the ejector
chute, or into the vicinity of any moving parts.
Always wear sturdy, non-slip footwear and
long trousers when using the equipment.
Stop the machine and remove the batteries
from the equipment. Check that all moving
parts have come to a complete standstill:
when the equipment is not being used, when
it is being transported, or when you leave it
unsupervised;
before you clear any blockages or clogged

before you inspect, clean or carry out any
other work on the machine,
after contact with foreign bodies or unusual
vibrations arise.
Never use the machine with defective protec-
tive devices or guards or without the safety
devices.
Switch off the power supply immediately and
wait until the machine has come to a standstill
if the cutting mechanism hits a foreign object
or if the machine starts to make unusual noi-
ses or begins to vibrate. Remove the batteries
and take the following steps , before you re-
start the machine and use it:
- check for damages;
- replace or repair any damaged parts;
- check for loose parts and tighten them.
Avoid using the tool in poor weather condi-
tions, especially if there is a risk of lightning.
Do not tilt the machine as long as the power
source is running.
If you stop the machine for maintenance, in-
spection, storage or to change any accesso-
ries, switch off the power source, remove the
battery and make sure that all moving parts
have come to a standstill. Allow the machine
to cool before carrying out inspections, ad-
justments, etc. Carry out maintenance on the
machine with care and keep it clean.
Store the machine in a dry place which is out
of the reach of children.
Always allow the machine to cool before sto-
ring it away.
Do not lose these safety instructions.
