Cleaning
Please always disconnect the unit from the power source before cleaning or
moving it. NEVER allow the electronics of the base plate to come into contact
with water. You clean the device as follows:
1. Unplug the kettle from the power outlet if you have not already done so.
Allow the water kettle to cool down first, if you used it a short time ago.
2. Do not place the water kettle or the base plate under water. Do not put the
water kettle or the bottom plate in th e dishwasher.
3. Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the outside and a sponge with a smooth
surface to clean the inside. Dry the device afterwards.
4. Do not clean the inside or outside of the device with aggressive cleaners or
abrasive cleaners to avoid damaging the surface.
5. We recommend cleaning the product with citric acid every two to three
months.
Cleaning with citric acid
In rare cases, after prolonged use of the water kettle may appear stains
inside. This is not the discoloration or corrosion of the water tank itself, but
often lime deposits. To remove them, we recommend the following
procedure:
1. Fill the water kettle to the MAX mark with tap water and add 30g of citric
acid or lemon juice.
2. Stir the water and close the lid.
3. Now boil the water to 100°C. Then turn off the power and pour out the
water.
4. Repeat this process (points 2 and 3) several times if the stains could not be
completely removed.
5. Pour out the water and dry the inside of the water kettle with a soft sponge.

Solution
The keep warm function is
set. Once the water has
reached the desired
temperature, the unit keeps
it warm for the next 2 hours
by intermittently boiling the
water back up to the target
temperature.
The keep warm function via
the "Function" button is not
set correctly. This function is
possible for all heat options
except cooking at 100° C. For
more information, see page
16.
Ideally, clean the water
kettle frequently and dry it
well. In case of stubborn
contamination, cleaning
with citric acid may help (see
section "Cleaning" on page
17).
