LUBRICATION
The
mechanism has

lubricated
at
the
t actory
Contact
the
ALPI NE store where
you purchased
the
unit if any
service is
required.
CLEAN ING
THE
TAPE HEAD
(See
Figure
7 on
page
22)
If a loss in
brilliance
(high frequency response)
is
noticed.
the
tape
head probably
needs
cleaning.
Open the
cassette
door of the
cassette
compartment when cleaning the head by means
of
a
cotton
stick
Wipe lightly
the
surface
of
the
head
with the
co
tton stick
as
shown in figure
below
If
the
head
is
fou led
heavily
,
soak the
stick with
a
little alcohol
. and
carefully
wipe the
surface
of the head.
CLEANING THE CABINET
Wipe the
cabinet
with
a
soft cloth.
Do
not
attempt to
clean
the
cabinet with
chemicals
such
as
benzine or
thinner, because
it may
damage
the finish.
