decks
available on the
market. incoming
signal
from the line
input is stepped
down
in
a
resistance network.

then
boost
ed to the
desired level

a
microphone ampli fier.
This
process
sometimes results in a degraded
signal-to-noise ratio

the
FL-2000, on
the
contrary,
the
input
selector delivers the signal frorn the
line
input directly
into the
recording
amplifier;
the
siynal-to-noise
ratio is
signi
ficant ly
increased.
A
hard permalloy
head
of
excellent recording
characteristics and
long lite
is

sed.
This high performance
head
has a wear
resistance
about ten t imes as great as t he
conventional
permal-
loy
heads
