Connect
the
O IN
cord
(provided w
it
h th is
unit) between the REC/PLAY (OIN)
jacks of
t
he
FL-2000
and the
REC/PLAY
jacks
of
your
Amplif
ier/Receiver.
PLAYBACK
1. Make
ail
the
connections
as
instructed
above.
2. Turn on
the
FL-
2000.
3. Depress
the STOP/EJECT
knob
to
open the cassette
door,
and then
insert
the cassette
tape
w ith
its
tape side facing
downwords
into
the
tape
compart
ment
as shown
in
figure below.
Push
the cassette
door
to Iock
it
.

4.
Push the
counter
reset
button
to
ZERO
the tape
counter.
5.
To
locat
e a
particu lar
selection, depress the
FF
k nob until
the
tape
coun
ter
indicates the desired
point Depress the STOP/EJECT
knob,
then fast
forward
motion
is
released
and tape
stops.
6.
Set
the
TAPE SE
L ECT
button according to
the
type of tape used.
7.
Set
the
DO
LBY
NR
knob
to
the "ON" position for
Dolby
recorded
cassette,
keep
it
released
in
the
"OFF" position
fo
r
non Dolby recorded
cassette.
8. Depress the PLA
Y knob
and ad just
the
volume,
balance and tone con trois o
n
your Amplifier/
Receiver for the desired sound level and qual ity.

When
the
tape is
reached to the
end,
the
PLAY
knob
will
automatically return to
itsoriginal
position
(Auto
Shut-off
Mechanism)
T
o stop
the
playback before the end of
the tape,
depress the STOP/EJECT
knob.
Depress
again
the
same knob, then the
cassette
is taken out.
RECORDING
To record from the
Amplifier/
Receiver
1. Make
ai

t he connections as previously instructed

urn on the
FL-2000.
3.
Push the STOP/EJECT k
nob
to open the
cassette
door, then
insert
a
cassette tape fu
lly
re-wound to
the
left
hub
into
the
tape
compartment
.
4.
Set the
INPUT SELECT
knob to
t
he
"LINE"
position.
(When
recording from
OIN
IN
PUT, set INPUT SE
L
ECT knob to
the "MIC/DIN"
posit ion.)
5.
Push the
counter
reset button to ZERO the
tape
count er
.
6.
Set
the TAPE SELECT button according to
the
type of
t
ape
used.
7.
Set the DO LBY
N
R knob
to
the "ON" position for Dolby
NR
record ing,
keep
it
released
in
the
"OFF"
position
for
conventional
record ing.
8 Depress and
Iock
the PAUSE
k
nob,
then
depress simultaneously t
he
REC
and PLAY
knobs.
The
REC
indicator will turn
on
to
indi_cate you are recording.
9. Adjust the
record
level from the LINE
l
NPUTs
by
REC
LEVEL
controls.
Generally,
recording
level
should be
adjusted
so that
the
pointers of
the
level
meters inditate
as
close as possible
t
o
"0"
at the h ighest
signal-
level
of the recording source
.
10.
Depress the
PAUSE knob
again
to release
it. Recording
wil
l
begin
.
