We do not recommend the use of liquid cleaning products. Spills of this product on the lower
black screen of the glass could leave marks that will unfortunately be permanent, and could
also damage the paintwork on the appliance. If you still have to use a liquid cleaner because
of heavy soiling, two precautions are essential:
- Use a product that does not contain caustic soda.
- Spray the product onto a cloth, not the glass, to avoid dripping.
!!! Failure to observe these precautions could cause the glass to break!
In fact, a liquid product would carry dust with it all the way to the compensation joint between
the glass and the door structure. This dust will impregnate the seal, causing it to lose its elas-
ticity and form a hardened crust, which will put stress on the glass and lead to breakage.
Ventilation access
After removing the vermiculite from the back.
You can now clean the fan. When cleaning, proceed with care and attention. Gently dust the
turbine blades with a brush. Reassemble everything.
Caution: if you bend an impeller blade, you risk creating an imbalance that will cause abnor-
mal noise in the fan.
Cleaning the filters
The black filters that protect the fans (PU67,77,16-9,70) can be washed in warm soapy water
(after removing them) or vacuumed. An excessively clogged filter prevents convection air
from reaching the fans, which can lead to overheating.
Door
Check the seal around the door.
Take advantage of the annual service to check the tightness of your fireplace, for example, by
sticking a strip of paper over the seal before closing the door.
If the strip doesn't stick, replace the gasket or adjust the door closing system. This adjustment
will bring the door closer to the heating element. To do this, loosen the nut with a spanner.
Caution: if you change the gasket after this operation, be sure to readjust the closing system
towards the front of the appliance. Your dealer can carry out these operations.

Chimney sweeping
For safety reasons and to comply with current legislation, you should have your chimney
swept at least once a year, to limit tar deposits in the chimney.
This is an opportunity to check the condition of the flue and chimney connection.
We recommend that you carefully remove the baffles beforehand, and that you then replace
them in their original position.
Three or four times a year, vacuum up the deposits above the upper baffle.
Life cycle
To extend the life of your insert, you should follow the instructions for use and maintenance.
However, your appliance is made up of various components that can wear out and/or deterio-
rate over time. Your appliance is designed so that these components can be easily replaced.
Your installer is able to identify and replace any components that are no longer functional.
End-of-life instructions
Once the appliance has been dismantled, it should be taken to an approved collection centre.
The appliance is made of steel and can be fully recycled.
The door pane is made of borosilicate glass and should be disposed of separately from food
glass.
The control units will be recycled at an electronics processing centre.
