If the battery pack fails to charge, check:
whether there is voltage at the socket outlet
whether there is good contact at the charging
contacts
If the battery pack still fails to charge, send
the charger
and the battery pack
to our customer service center.
To ensure that items are properly packaged
and delivered when you send them to us,
please contact our customer service or the
point of sale at which the equipment was
purchased.
When shipping or disposing of batteries and
cordless tools, always ensure that they are
packed individually in plastic bags to prevent
short circuits and fi res.
To ensure that the battery pack provides long ser-
vice, you should take care to recharge it promptly.
You must recharge the battery pack when you
notice that the performance of the device drops.
Never allow the battery pack to become fully di-
scharged. This will cause it to develop a defect.
Assembly of the battery (Fig. 1, 7a)
Insert the battery (15) into the battery slot (14)
and slide it forward until it clicks into place.
Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 7b)
Press the battery capacity indicator switch (a).
The battery capacity indicator (b) will indicate the
charge status of the battery by means of 3 LEDs.
All 3 LEDs are lit:
The battery is fully charged.
2 or 1 LED(s) are lit:
The battery has an adequate remaining charge.
1 LED fl ashes:
The battery is empty, recharge the battery.
All LEDs blink:
The battery temperature is too low. Remove the
battery from the equipment, keep it at room tem-
perature for one day. If the fault reoccurs, this me-
ans that the rechargeable battery has undergone
exhaustive discharge and is defective. Remove
the battery from the equipment. Never use or
charge a defective battery.

6. Operation
6.1 On/Off foot switch (Fig. 1)
Activate the on/off foot switch (4) to turn the de-
vice on. To turn it off , press the switch again.
6.2 Use on hard fl oors
The side brush can be mounted if needed (see
section 5.3) to enable cleaning around edges.
6.3 Use on carpets
The side brush is intended for use on hard fl oors.
When using on short-pile needle-felt carpets, it is
advised against using the side brush to prevent
excessive wear of the brush.
6.4 Lock/unlock the telescopic rod sideways
(Fig. 5)
The joint can be locked when using on short-pile
carpets to enable better guidance of the device.
To unlock: Press the locking mechanism (c)
and slide upwards.
To lock: Press the locking mechanism (c) and
slide downwards.
6.5 Emptying the dirt collection container
(Fig. 8)
Warning! Dust can be hazardous to your health.
Wear a dust mask!
Warning! Wear sturdy gloves to prevent injuries
from, for example, shards of glass.
1. Remove the dirt collection container (8) by
pressing the release button (9) and pulling
out the dirt collection container.
2. Empty the container.
3. Reinsert the dirt collection container and en-
sure it clicks into place.
6.6 Cleaning/changing the sweeping roller
(Fig. 9-9a)
1. Release the brush (see Fig. 9)
2. Remove the brush (9a)
3. Place the cleaned/new brush back in. Ensure
the brush is correctly seated.
6.7 Parking and storage position (Fig. 10-10a)
The telescopic rod can be locked in the vertical
position, for example during work breaks (see Fig.
10).
To store, fold the device together (see Fig. 10a).
