IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Before using this machine, carefully read this instruction manual and follow all safety precautions it contains in order to be able to avoid the hazards that may
be generated during operation of this power tool.
To ensure operator safety and that the electric tool is used properly, this instruction manual must be made available to all operators of this power tool.
This instruction manual must always accompany the electric tool upon its resale.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE
This finishing sander is powered by a single-phase motor. The power tool is adequately insulated, so it does not require protective grounding (insulation class II).
The finishing sander is designed for polishing wooden surfaces coated with varnish, polishing lacquered metal surfaces, removing rust or traces of polish before
re-polishing and finishing metal surfaces.
The electric tool is used in carpentry, in the final stages of repair work and for other types of work that require a tool to smoothen rough surfaces.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS
Warning! Working with the electric tool without using proper personal protective equipment or touching its moving parts can lead to severe physical
injuries. The noise emitted by the machine during operation can also cause hearing damage if the operator doesn't follow the instructions in this manual.
• Ensure that the voltage of the power supply corresponds to that marked on the power tool's label.
• The finishing sander must be connected to the outlet only when the switch is in the ''off'' position.
• Ensure that the power cord and plug are not damaged.
• Always wear safety glasses.
• Wear hearing protection.
• Wear a dust mask or a filtered protective mask.
• It is recommended to wear protective gloves.
• Keep the power cord away from the moving parts of the finishing sander.
• Keep the power cord and the finishing sander in a safe area where they are not likely to be damaged.
• Secure the workpiece in a vise or with another suitable tool.
• Disconnect the plug from the outlet before making any adjustments, or repairing or maintaining the power tool.
• The finishing sander must not be used outdoors in rainy weather, in damp areas or near flammable liquids and gases.
• The workplace should be well lit.
• The finishing sander should not be operated in explosive areas, areas where the temperature is above 40°C and chemically active areas.
• During operation, the finishing sander must be held firmly with both hands.
• During the process of finishing wood or metal surfaces with lead paint, harmful toxic dust may be generated.
• Skin contact or inhalation of such dust may endanger the health of operators or bystanders.
• A dust collecting tool should be used to minimize the dust hazard.
• Pregnant women as well as children should be kept away from the work area at all times.
• Eating, drinking or smoking in the work area is forbidden, especially when the paint of the workpiece contains lead.
• Avoid the use of a long cable extension.
• Before storing the machine after use, turn off the motor and make sure that all moving parts have stopped.
• If the cable is cut or damaged in any way during operation, do not touch it. Immediately disconnect the plug from the outlet, never use a machine with a
damaged cable. It must be replaced with a cable that is identical to the previous one.
• Proper and safe operation cannot be guaranteed if the finishing sander is running with non-genuine accessories installed.
• The finishing sander is not suitable for wet sanding.
• Do not grind materials containing asbestos.
• Persons under 16 years of age should not be allowed to operate the finishing sander.
• In case of electrical or mechanical malfunction, turn off the device immediately and remove the plug from the outlet.
• During the process of grinding, metal sparks are formed. Do not use a vacuum cleaner and keep bystanders and flammable material away from the immediate
working area.
• Do not touch the sanding sheet.
• Do not use worn, torn or heavily soiled sanding sheets.
• In case the operator has long hair, the hair must be pulled back to keep it away from the moving parts of the finishing sander.
• The operator must always wear safety goggles when grinding surfaces above their head.
• Before making any adjustments to the power tool, the plug must be disconnected from the outlet.
• The operator must not apply excessive pressure on the workpiece with the finishing sander.
