Note: The maximum delivery quantity per
hour is achieved using a 38 mm (1,5") hose.
The actual conveyance volume depends on
the delivery height and the hose used. The
volume may be reduced by more than 50%
if a smaller hose is used.
The use of rigid pipes with a non-return valve is rec-
ommended for use at a fixed location. This prevents
return flow of the liquid when switching off.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the appli-
ance! Only tighten the hose adapter by
hand during mounting! Overtightening the
adapter damages the thread.
► P. 4, fig. 2
Note: The pressure line can be connected
to the lower (7) or upper pressure connec-
tion (8).
– Screw pressure line onto the pressure connec-
tion.
– If necessary, use the enclosed adapter.
– When using a hose, screw the hose adapter onto
the pressure connection.
– Push the hose firmly onto the hose adapter and
secure with a hose clamp.
– Close unused pressure connection with plug (9).
Installation
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the appli-
ance! Do not lift the pump with the cable or
pressure hose as these are not designed for
the tensile stress from the weight of the
pump.
The appliance needs an area of at least 50 × 50 cm
(the float switch must be able to move freely so that it
functions properly) (► P. 5, fig. 4).
The appliance can be submerged under water up to
the submerged operating depth mentioned in the
technical data.
Install the appliance so that the suction openings can-
not be blocked by foreign bodies (place the appliance
on a firm, even base if necessary).
Ensure that the appliance is stable.
– Submerge the pump at an angle into the liquid to
be delivered so that no air pocket forms on the
underside of the appliance. Suction would be pre-
vented by this. Once the pump is submerged, it
can be righted again.
– Leave the pump on the bottom of the liquid con-
tainer. Use a strong rope attached to the carrying
handle of the pump for lowering.
– Tighten the end of the rope firmly after lowering.
The pump can also be operated while suspended on
a rope.
Note: For operation with rope: Do not oper-
ate the pump without pressure hose. Avoid
the pump twisting around its longitudinal
axis.

Operation
Automatic operation
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the appli-
ance! The float switch must be able to move
so that the submersible pump cannot run
dry.

After the appliance has been connected to the mains
power supply, it is switched on and off automatically
by the float switch:
• The pump begins to deliver when the float switch
is lifted up by the liquid (1).
• The pump switches off when the float switch has
sunk to the bottom (2).
The cable for the float switch can be adjusted in the
cable holder (3). The distance between cut-in and
cut-off point is adjusted in this way:
• Short cable: Cut-in and cut-off points are very
close together.
• Long cable: Cut-in and cut-off points are very far
apart.
Manual operation
NOTICE! Risk of product damage! The
pump may run dry during manual operation!
Note: The minimum residual water level is
only reached during manual operation, as
the pump switches off prematurely in auto-
matic operating mode.
– Attach the float switch in such a way that it points
vertically upwards.
• The pump remains switched on irrespective of the
water level.
