13 and 8 wrenches to tighten the tensioner nut . Now test the tightness of the
carriage by cranking it up and down . There should be no free-play, yet no bin-
ding throughout its travel .
5.1.7 A Φ60mm clamp bracket is provided with
smaller stand as in COLONNA 200 while COLONNA
250 has both clamp bracket and mounting spacer .
Both mounting methods depend on the type of the
drill motor . E .g . DMP-162 is a hand-held type drill
motor, then Φ60mm clamp bracket must be used
when mount it to the stand .
5 .1 .8 Before mounting the drill motor to the
stand, first adjust
the
carriage
to
a higher position
for easier motor
mounting .
When
finish
adjusting,
using the tool-free
lever lock to lock
the carriage to the desired position .
5 .1 .9 When mounting a 4-bolt rig-mounted type motor, to drill stand COLONNA
250 first use 4 bolts to mount the mounting spacer to the motor. There is a
10x10x100mm key on the mounting plate which can transmit the torque of the
motor . Then put the mounting plate with dovetail into the cradle . Tighten the
cradle lock bolt until the plate is secured in cradle .
5 .1 .10 When adjust the cradle lock bolt to clamp the mounting spacer, the lock
bolt should be fully tightened . When to remove the mounting spacer, the lock
bolt should be fully loosened as well .
5 .1 .11 The tool-
free carriage le-
ver lock is on the
top of the carria-
ge . It can prevent
the carriage from
slamming
down
causing
possible
injury or damage to the bi t or machine . Slide the carriage lever lock to left to
release the carriage, then crank up or down the carriage to the desired position
and slide the lever lock to right to lock the carriage in place . Once in position,
unlock it and tighten the M6 screw on the lever lock to start operating . Atten-
tion! Do not crank up and down t he carriage with lever lock in lock position, it
will damage both gear rack and the lever lock .
