5. INSTALLATION
5.1 To install the drill stand
5 .1 .1 Once the desired position of the stand is
determined, use a concrete anchor to secure the
stand . Drill a suitable sized hole for the anchor
with a hammer drill .
5 .1 .2 When anchoring to a brick surface, a special
masonry anchor and brick fixing kit must be used.
Using a concrete type drop-in anchor in brick
could lead to the brick cracking and the anchor loosening!
5 .1 .3 With vacuum xing, make sure the xing surface is level and no sundries,
and the vacuum is sufficient to ensure the base is fixed perfectly. Attention!
When perform an
overhead
drilling,
vacuum fixing on
the ceiling is prohi-
bited, for it may
lead to serious in-
jury .
5 .1 .4 Using the bubble level on the carriage, adjust the four leveling bolts to
achieve a good level positioning, then fully tighten the locknuts on leveling
bolts . The entire stand must be mounted solidly . Both vertical and horizontal
drilling share the same way to adjust a fixed drill stand.
5 .1 .5 Adjust the angle of the drill stand to a proper
position based on the center of the desired drilling
hole . The adjustable drilling angle ranges from 0°
to 45° . When need to drill in 45°, using the at-
tachable 13mm crank handle to loosen the clamp
bolt on the top of the back support, then adjust
the angle according to the angle measurement de-
cal on the back of the back support . Once the angle
is set, tighten the clamp bolt to finish.Tighten the clamp bolt on the carriage to
make sure the mounting plate or bracket is not lo-
ose . Attention! Do not overtighten the clamp bolt,
otherwise the back of column and cradle will be
deformed .
5 .1 .6 Check if the guidance is loose on the co-
lumn . If loose, you need to adjust the 4 eccentric
tensioners inside of the carriage . To adjust, use
COLUMN 200 - COLUMN 250
