4. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
Read all safety warnings and all instructions . Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions may result in severe injuries and/or even

The term "drill rig" used in this manual refers to the drill stand that
has a motor mounted on .
4.1 Work area safety
4 .1 .1 Keep working area clean and well lit . Cluttered or unilluminated working
areas can cause accidents .
4 .1 .2 Keep children and other persons away while operating a power tool . When
being distracted, operator may lose control on the power tool .
4 .1 .3 Do not operate the drill rig in bad weather, such as dense fog, heavy rain,
strong wind, intense cold, etc . Working in bad weather is tiring and can lead to
dangerous conditions, e .g . slippery surfaces .
4 .1 .4 Never start to work with the power tool before the working area is clear
and you have a rm foothold . Look out for any obstacles with unexpected mo-
vement . Ensure that no material can become loose and fall, causing injury when
operating .
4 .1 .5 Always check the rear side of the surface where the drill bit will emerge
when drilling right through . Secure and cordon off the area and make sure that
no one can be injured or material damaged .
