8. Position assist step to vehicle. Align front and rear wheel wells and press to engage clips. Install screws into front and rear flange
area. See figures 11 and 12. Reinstall splashguard. See figure 13. Install screws until fully seated. Do not strip.

Adjust (4) brackets to riv nuts installed in step 7. Install Truss head bolts thru brackets in 2
T-30 Torx bit. See figures 14 and 15. Install truss head bolts thru retention clips, brackets in 1
with a T-30 Torx bit. See figures 14 and 16. Torque (4) Truss head bolts to 15NM. Do not allow retention clips to rotate when tight-
ening. Insert carriage bolt into back wall of bracket. Position rocker panel bracket over carriage bolt and install hex nut. Torque to
25NM. Tighten SEMS nuts from Step 6 to 20NM.
