4. INSTALLATION
4.1. ASSESSING THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

A formal risk assessment of the working environment and the application of the Globestock WINCH must be
conducted by a competent person prior to installation and use.
•
The information in this manual is for guidance purposes only. This manual does not remove the requirement for
a formal risk assessment by a competent person. The risk assessment must be constantly reviewed to account
for any changes to the working environment or application.

es during use. Never disengage the anti-run brake when the Globestock WINCH is under
load.
4.2. ANCHORAGES
The Globestock WINCH can be attached to a wide range of EN 795 anchor devices, such as the range of Globestock
SENTRY tripods.
Any anchor device used must conform to all national standards and regulations applicable.

Use of the Globestock WINCH with anchorages that are not approved by Globestock, may adversely affect the
functional compatibility between system parts and the safety and reliability of the complete system.

Refer to the manufacturer's instructions supplied with the anchor device to determine suitability and
compatibility.
•
Contact Globestock Safety directly if you have any doubts regarding compatibility or suitability between
systems.

4.3. ATTACHING MOUNTING BRACKETS
•
Suitable mounting brackets are required to attach the Globestock WINCH to any anchor device.
•
Contact Globestock directly if you have any doubts regarding compatibility or suitability of any mounting
brackets.
•
Ensure the mounting brackets you use are attached to the Globestock WINCH in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions.
