The Tester may only be used in dry, indoor areas. Avoid any contact
with dampness.
Never use the Tester when it shows signs of damage. Before use
each time, the unit must be checked for function.
In commercial facilities the accident-prevention regulations of the
industrial employers' liability association for electrical systems and
equipment must be observed.
Static electricity, for example caused by excessive rubbing on the
plastic case, can adversely affect the indication.
The Tester does not belong in the hands of children!
Take particular care when dealing with voltages greater than 25 V
AC or greater than 35 V DC. Even at these voltages, a life-threaten-
ing electric shock can be suffered on contact.
Items in these instructions emphasised with the
adjacent warning symbol indicate important infor-
mation on use, which will endanger life if ignored!
Functional description
The Multitester MS-158 can be used to test whether or not electrical
equipment is powered.
A particular feature of the unit is the integrated metal detector. This
can determine and locate metallic objects with diameters from 20
mm to 70mm in walls, etc. By means of four built-in LEDs, even the
approximate depth can be determined via comparative measure-
ments.
