• The equipment may only be operated in perfect working conditions. If the equipment or its parts present
any defects, it must be repaired by a specialist.
• Never use the equipment in enclosures with explosion hazard or in the proximity of flammable liquids or
gases.
• Ensure that when an equipment has been disconnected, it may not be started unintentionally.
• Equipment with flawed start/stop switch must not ever be used.
• Keep children away from the equipment. Keep the equipment out of areas frequented by children or
other non-authorised persons.
• Do not overload the equipment. Do not use the equipment in applications other than the intended
applications.
• Be careful and work only under proper conditions: do not use the equipment if tired, sick, under the
effects of alcohol, medication or drugs, since this will impair the safe use of the equipment.
• The product is not intended for use by physically, sensorial or mentally impaired persons (including
children) or without experience or knowledge on the product unless they work under supervision, or if
they have been instructed on product operation by a person responsible for their safety.
• Ensure that children do not play with the equipment.
• Always comply with all the applicable health, safety and labour regulations.
Electrical safety
• The equipment nay only be connected to a ground connected properly installed socket.
• The fuse must be a residual current circuit breaker with a measure residual current not exceeding 30 mA.
• Prior to connecting the equipment, check that the power source matches the equipment specifications.
• The tool may only be used within the specified voltage and power range (refer to the name plate).
• Do not touch the power plug with wet hands. Remove the plug by pulling from the plug, not the cable.
• Do not bend, crush, drag or tread on the power cable; protect it against sharp edges, oil or heat.
• Do not lift the equipment by the cable nor use the cable for purposes other than the intended use.
• Check the plug and the cable before each use.
• If the cable is damaged, remove the plug immediately. Never use the equipment with a damaged cable.
• Ensure to remove the plug when the equipment is not being used.
• Prior to plugging in the power cable, check that the equipment is off.
• Prior to unplugging the power cable check that the equipment is off.
• Disconnect the power supply before transporting the equipment.
Maintenance
• Prior to any maintenance work on the equipment, unplug the power cable.
• Only the maintenance and troubleshooting tasks described herein may be carried out. Any other task
must be carried out by a specialist.
• Use only original spare parts. Only original parts have been designed for the equipment. Other spare parts
not only renders the guarantee void but could place you and the environment in danger.
Safety instructions specific to the equipment
• Do not place the equipment in the rain. Do not use the equipment in moist atmospheres.
• Do not use the equipment in areas with explosion hazard or in the vicinity of combustible liquids or gases.
• Do not direct the water jet directly towards the equipment or other electrical components. Danger of
death through electric shock.
• Place the cable extension such that it cannot enter the pumped liquid.
• Do not install or connect the equipment if there are persons or animals in the media being pumped (e.g.
a swimming pool), or in contact with it.
• Do not leave the equipment unattended. If it is left unattended for some time, disconnect it.
• As a general rule, repairs must be carried out by an electrician. If repairs are carried out inappropriately,
there is a risk that the liquid enters the electronic components of the equipment.
• Symbols stuck to your tools must not be removed nor covered. Information stuck to the equipment which
is not legible must be replaced immediately.
